Brightening up the high school classroom

View of my classroom from the front and back. Our school colors are green and white, so I wanted to keep with the school's tradition.

I painted these canvases of some of my favorite works and authors to add some color to the room.

Student work is displayed on the sheets above. The paper is 12X12 sheets found at Hobby Lobby that I had laminated. Their work is slightly smaller paper, so you can still see the background paper when work is hanging up.

A quick exit survey system/TOTD/closing activity is for students to write down their level of mastery of a standard/daily lesson on a sticky note and post it to the boards.

Door sign by aubyroo designs. Go indians!

A view from my desk!

Absent tray for my 9th and 11th grade students. It is also handy to have the MLA heading posted somewhere in the room for students to refer to when writing papers.

I love having a specific location for students to turn in work and grab supplies!
